Greetings Arboga Elementary families!

I am honored to serve this community and I am excited to begin working alongside all of you. As I enter my first year as principal of Arboga Elementary School, I will work to build upon all of the great traditions, systems and ideals that make Arboga  such a special place.  However, a new year and new leadership also brings about the opportunity to find new ways to do things and a new lens to see how we can go from great to PHENOMENAL.

I’d like to share just a snapshot of who I am.  I have been an educator for 35+ years.  I began as a classroom teacher and worked my way to site and district administrator.  After taking a year off in 2020-2021, I realized that I missed students, so I chose to return to school site administration.  There is no place I’d rather be than at a school with students.  My husband, son and I live in Woodland.  My daughter is an SFSU graduate, living her best life in the city by the bay.  I love dogs, traveling, spending time with friends and of course, my family.  I believe that laughter is the best medicine and I love candy.  

Our focus will continue to be to bring our students an amazing educational experience as we listen, learn and continue to grow together.  I am committed to the success of every child, and will work collaboratively with you so that our students can attain success regularly.  

This year, I will be intentional with building relationships, communication, and instruction. With these three areas at the forefront of everything we do, my hope is to make every classroom a place where students feel loved, supported, and successful.  I, alongside you, am committed to preparing and empowering students for a future of endless possibilities.

 

I am looking forward to an amazing year. 2025-2026 may come with its challenges.  However it will also come with opportunities.  With commitment, passion and determination, we will make this an amazing year for our Cougar families!

¡Saludos familias de la Escuela Primaria Arboga!

Es un honor para mí servir a esta comunidad y me entusiasma empezar a trabajar junto a todos ustedes. Al comenzar mi primer año como director de la Escuela Primaria Arboga, me esforzaré por consolidar las grandes tradiciones, sistemas e ideales que hacen de Arboga un lugar tan especial. Sin embargo, un nuevo año y un nuevo liderazgo también brindan la oportunidad de encontrar nuevas maneras de hacer las cosas y una nueva perspectiva para ver cómo podemos pasar de ser excelentes a ser extraordinarios.

Me gustaría compartirles un poco de quién soy. Llevo más de 35 años como educadora. Empecé como maestra de aula y fui ascendiendo hasta llegar a administradora de centro y distrito. Tras un año sabático en 2020-2021, me di cuenta de que extrañaba a los estudiantes, así que decidí volver a la administración escolar. No hay mejor lugar que una escuela con estudiantes. Mi esposo, mi hijo y yo vivimos en Woodland. Mi hija se graduó de la SFSU y vive su mejor vida en la ciudad junto a la bahía. Me encantan los perros, viajar, pasar tiempo con mis amigos y, por supuesto, mi familia. Creo que la risa es la mejor medicina y me encantan los dulces.  Hablo español también.

Nuestro enfoque seguirá siendo brindarles a nuestros estudiantes una experiencia educativa increíble mientras escuchamos, aprendemos y seguimos creciendo juntos. Estoy comprometido con el éxito de cada niño y trabajaré en colaboración con ustedes para que nuestros estudiantes puedan alcanzar el éxito con regularidad.

Este año, me centraré en fortalecer las relaciones, la comunicación y la enseñanza. Con estas tres áreas como prioridad en todo lo que hacemos, espero que cada aula sea un lugar donde los estudiantes se sientan queridos, apoyados y exitosos. Junto con ustedes, me comprometo a preparar y empoderar a los estudiantes para un futuro de infinitas posibilidades.

 

Espero con ansias un año increíble. El 2025-2026 puede traer sus desafíos. Sin embargo, también traerá oportunidades. Con compromiso, pasión y determinación, ¡haremos de este un año increíble para nuestras familias Cougar!
