MJUSD's Only TK-8 Campus
Arboga Elementary proudly serves students from Transitional Kindergarten all the way through 8th grade. We are the only school within the Marysville Joint Unified School District to serve this range of students. Arboga was historically a K-6 campus, but expanded in the 22-23 school year to a TK-7 and to a TK-8 in the 23-24 school year. While we are one physical campus, our elementary classrooms (TK-5) are on one side of the campus and the middle school classrooms (6th-8th) are on the other, divided by our Multipurpose Room. As our physical growth and expansion is completed, we are excited to begin the 24-25 school year offering departmentalized classes for our 7th-8th grade students as we strive to best prepare them for their high school careers and beyond.

Schoolwide AVID
Arboga began offering AVID as an elective for our 7th and 8th grade students in the 23-24 school year, and our 6th-8th grade classrooms incorporated AVID strategies. We are excited to be one of two schools within MJUSD to pilot AVID Elementary for the 24-25 school year. AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, and the program's mission is to close opportunity gaps by preparing ALL students for college and career readiness and success in a global society. Award-Winning School
A California Distinguished School is an award given by the California State Board of Education to public schools within the state that best represent exemplary and quality educational programs. Approximately five percent of California schools are awarded this honor each year following a rigorous selection process. Eligibility is based on federal and state criteria including the No Child Left Behind program, Academic Performance Index (API), and Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). Arboga Elementary was awarded a California Distinguished School in 2010.
